My solemn condolences to the entire family. The Wetherell's were a part of my upbringing. Hanging out at Dad's auction on Friday's and Saturday's. I would catch him on Prov. St and chat. Mike I pray for your soul and eternal Peace.

Dearest Wetherell Family,
My Condolences...
I was saddened to learn of Michael’s passing. I have but only the sweetest memory to share of a time now long past.
We were classmates for a period of time in elementary school. We were in the third grade …about 9 or 10 years old. The teacher was Mrs. Isabel Franklin in the old Israel Putnam School in Putnam…(now converted to residences). Our lunchroom was on the ground floor…painted cinderblocks were the walls that surrounded us. A circular hand washing station was in the corridor…where we as students all washed our hands before lunch. I brought my lunch from home…in a metal lunch box. On this particular day as I opened my lunch box with the thermos that held my milk….the glass liner of my thermos had broken…the broken liner rattled in the bottle. Saddened, I had nothing to drink. I spoke with Mrs Franklin of my broken thermos and lack of milk…and yes…this little blue-eyed/brown haired girl cried over “spilled-milk”. Michael overheard my dilemma… and with the biggest compassionate heart I dare any adult to compare…reached into his pocket and bought me a milk at the cost of 5 cents of his own money!! To this saddened little girl… Michael was sort of a hero….so kind, generous, and compassionate…responding to the situation with such a big heart.
These many years later….when I hear the name Michael Wetherell … I can still recall that day with such warmth and fondness of my classmate. I will never forget his kindness.
May the Love and Tender Mercies of Jesus Christ be ever so near your grieving hearts.
