I met Edna through the NH Library Trustees Association where she held many offices from Delegate at Large to Vice President. She was always a pleasure to work with and willing to do all she could do to promote libraries. Then iI got to know her better through the Laconia Athletic and Swim Club. Edna was always in the pool with her many friends and then afterwards coffee and a bagel at the local bagel shop. Edna and her friends were an aspiration with their stories of their lives. Edna often spoke of her family and the Christmas Tree Farm.

Dear Todd, Dirk, Joyce, Trevor and Courtney,
Edna was an amazing woman with many sides. I have so many wonderful memories of times we spent with her that keep me smiling to this day. Every time I see a napkin I can’t help but think of her.
To this day I can’t pass by the Cream of Mushroom Soup at the grocery store without remembering our time in Bermuda. Your Mom and I almost crashed that party on that yacht and it was her idea. Lol She will be dearly missed.
Love always, Judy McCabe

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Hansen's passing....she will always be Mrs. Hansen to me, as I was one of her students at the Lakes Regional Technical School, in Secretarial Science, from 1980-1982. Mrs. Hansen was the epitomy of professionalism, while also being warm, kind and understanding...she could be stern when needed which is exactly what we all needed to be prepared for the "real world" of business. I've had a successful business management career for 40 years, due in large part to all that I learned from Mrs. Hansen those many years ago. Thoughts and prayers to all of her family.

I did not know Edna but I knew of her through her son Dirk. He was a friend of my son Doug, and couldn't be a more supportive friend and companion. Edna would be proud to know that her son created a bond with Doug that was rare for two men from different backgrounds who could create a friendship that lasted for so many years. Good job, Edna. You did well.
