Obituary of Mary J. Rhault

Mary J. Rhault, 89, of Putnam, died, Saturday January 9, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Charles G. Rhault, Sr., they were married June 26, 1948. He died November 24, 2005. Mary was born June 26, 1931 in Putnam, daughter of the late Pietro and Margaret (Martini) Gervasio.

Mary worked at Westview Nursing Home in the laundry, for over 25 years, she retired in 1995. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church of the Visitation in Putnam, a member of the Putnam VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, puzzles, dominos and Yahtzee.

She leaves her children: Julie Warren of Putnam; Mary Lussier and her husband Kenneth of Thompson; Charles Rhault, Jr. of Putnam; Yvonne Cote and her husband Paul of North Grosvenordale; James Rhault and his wife Laura of Putnam; eight granddaughters and twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Donald Warren in 2011, her sisters Dorothy Lewis, Josephine LaPointe, and Carmella McHugh.

Private services were held at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, Putnam, and burial in St. Mary Cemetery in Putnam. Donations may be made in her memory to the charity of ones’ choice.
