Obituary of Pauline M. LaPerle

Pauline M. (Theroux) LaPerle age 93 passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020. She was born to Alice Bibeault of Moosup, CT and Cleophas Theroux of Woonsocket, RI, on July 19, 1927. She was one of five children and grew up in Woonsocket, RI. She is predeceased by four siblings: Raymond Theroux, Leonard Theroux, Lorraine Garceau and Hortense Vanasse. On July 15, 1946 Pauline married the love of her life Rene George LaPerle and began their life in Moosup, CT. They resided most of their lives there.

Pauline worked locally as a cleaning woman at the Plainfield Motel, a parts inspector at Connecticut Rubber Molding, and the cafeteria at Kaman Aircraft until her retirement. She and Rene were active in Marriage Encounter and working in their church prayer community. Pauline loved flowers and gardening. She was a lover of animals especially birds and cats. This love of animals spilled over into her stuffed animal collection which was lovingly displayed in her room. She was also an avid card writer decorating her notes and cards with bird doodles.

Pauline is survived by her children: Leon R. LaPerle of Homstead, FL, Doris P. Grimm of Danielson, CT, and Eddie A. LaPerle of Jewitt City, CT. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Barbara, Jeffrey, Bryan, Aaron, Corrie, Melissa, and Rebecca, and 15 great-grandchildren. Pauline was known for her smile, fun loving character, and her helpful spirit. She will be missed.

A Mass of Chrstian Burial will be Friday, June 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM in St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT. Burial will follow in All Hallows  Cemetery, Moosup, CT. Share a memory at www.gagnonandcostellofh.com
