I am so sorry to hear of Yvonne's passing. She will be missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing her. I enjoyed her conversations every time she cut my hair as we laughed and solved all the world's problems. Knowing I had to return to my office after cutting my hair Yvonne would let me keep a tee shirt at her salon and change into it while she cut my hair and then I would leave it with her and she would wash and dry it for me so it would be ready for my next visit. She was a special person, kind and thoughtful. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.

It is with a heavy heart I express my sympathies to her husband, family and friends. I was blessed to have known Yvonne on a professional level and, in time, a friend level! To me she will always be “The Butterfly Lady”! Upon entering the shop one day, nearing the one day anniversary date of my granddaughter’s passing, Yvonne brought in two Monarch chrysalis in her DD cup for me to take home to watch transform. The excitement of watching that transformation had such a special meaning. It brought forth “Hope”! May her transformation from this life to the next bring us all “ Hope for Today and Hope for Tomorrow! Butterflies will have an additional significance of not only my granddaughter, but of Yvonne Cote as well!
She will be greatly missed by every life she touched!

Yvonne was a wonderful woman who I have known for many years. I was fortunate to spend time with her working on the March of Dimes marches. I was also blessed to be a client of hers and always enjoyed our chats and time together. We had many good times and I will miss her. My sympathies to her entire family.

Yvonne,
Our time doing the Happy Hoofers( March of Dimes) was always fun for many years. We had a special relationship like a sister I never had. Our time over 40 years of friendship will never be forgotten. You were my friend and inspiration. You were my personal hair dresser always when we were in Putnam. You will always be in my heart.
Paul,
Yvonne will always always be in our memory as well with you. Be strong,
time does heal and we will all meet again.
Love always Gloria

I was shocked and saddened when I heard the news about the accident. My condolences to Yvonne's husband and family. She was a very kind, sweet person and will be missed. It won't be the same when I go back to CT for the summer and not see her at breakfast with Julie or have her cut my hair. Rest in Peace Yvonne.

I am currently away from home but have seen the notice of Yvonne's death. It was just about six weeks ago that she had contacted me about her mother's death. To follow so soon after seems somehow surreal. May the ever-good God enfold her gently in loving arms, and there may she rest in lasting peace.

How tragic that Yvonne is gone. We were awful about calling her at the last minute for a haircut, but she always made time for us. We enjoyed her company and conversation very much. She was caring and perky. She was particularly kind to her many elderly customers. She was a pistol and will be missed. Our sincere condolences to her husband and friends, especially Beth.

Yvonne was my sweet cousin. She was the glue that held us together. She was my fathers and late mothers God Child. My mother passed when I was 8. My father was in the Marine Corps so we moved a lot. After I got married Yvonne never missed sending out a Christmas Card. She took on her own to take care of my mothers grave cleaning the stone bring her late mother Mary to visit and bring flowers. If it wasn't for her and my cousin Ronnie I probably wouldn't know any of my extended family. To say she will be missed is a understatement! We talked and text weekly. I am forever grateful we spoke on Saturday. Someone like Yvonne passing leaves a void in so many lives. That will never be filled. I miss her now and will always! God Bless

My deepest and heartfelt condolences to Paul and family-
Yvonne will never be forgotten. I have known her since I was a child. That is when my mother first brought me to Yvonne to cut my hair. From that moment I continued. I had brought my children for their haircuts and then I had brought my grandson. She was a wonderful woman. Heaven has a new wonderful, caring and always smiling angel! I wish she wasn't taken to soon.

Where to begin... Yvonne and I went through IPS, PGS, and PHS together. We started hanging out while she was still unmarried and living on Park St with her parents. Yvonne was attending hairdressing school in Willimantic and loving every minute of it. I will never forget her smile and long, long hair. As time passed on Yvonne and I went our separate ways. I was devastated to hear of her passing and the manner in which she was released from her time here on earth. I know that we will meet again, my friend. My sincere condolences to your husband and family
