I had the pleasure of meeting Ernie, Norma and their family on my many trips to Thompson with Sylvia Keddy. I so enjoyed his stories, which were many. Tears come when I think that I will not being enjoying those again. He even took me on a few rides in his jeep to show the pride he had of his farm and property. He made a Nova Scotian feel at home. You can see the pride he had for his wife and family whenever he spoke. Deepest condolences to Norma and their family. You are in my thoughts.

Norma and family. So sorry to hear about your loss. Ernie was the nicest guy you'll ever meet.
He was always so friendly. More than willing to lend a hand. Always hard working. He would pull over every now and then to say hello and see how things were going. He showed my kids the cows and the whole milking process years back when they were young. I loved to hear his stories that he would often share!
He will always be remembered!
He will surely be missed!
RIP Ernie!

Dear Norma and Family,
My deepest condolences and prayers. Ernie and you have been shining lights in promoting and serving CT Agriculture, and hosting so many on your farm many, many times. Ernie's thoughtful, hard working, dedicated support has enabled his family and farm carry on and keep adapting in countless ways. Ernie's gifts of sharing enabled Norma to serve Farm Bureau, where she mentored myself and others in the upcoming generation. Peace and Blessings to each of you. May Ernie RIP.

So very sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. Our prayers are with you at this very difficult time. He will truly be missed by the O'Learys here in Nova Scotia. He was a true Irishman and was very proud to hold the O'Leary name. He never forgot his family roots back here even though he and his family resided in the USA. We will all 5pFqmiss his summer visits dearly. RIP Ernie and God bless you Norma and family. Condolences from Lola O'Leary and sons Stephen, Gordon, Wade and Todd.

To Norma and family - We'll always remember Ernie in his later years driving around in his black and red pick-up, dropping off or picking up for Norma, his "girlfriend", stopping to say hello and thanks to those cleaning the roads. A twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face. He will be missed.

I'll miss Ernie! I was thrilled to have him as my installing marshal in 2007 for my first time as master of Corner Stone-Quinebaug Lodge 122 in 2008. I'll always remember his stories about the lodge brothers that passed away before I became a member there and our tour of the Fort Hill Farms properties. The world has lost another gentle kind soul. Rest in piece Brother Ernie.
