Obituary of Lucien A. LaPalme

Lucien A. LaPalme, 73 of Thompson died Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. Beloved husband of Karen (Place) LaPalme. Son of the late Simon and Eva (Houle) LaPalme, he was born in Putnam on February 15, 1948.

He was avid golfer and loved to golf in his league at Raceway Golf Course. He was a very family-oriented man and a Mr. Fix It, who could fix anything as he was a very good carpenter. He was very proud of his service in the U.S. Navy having served on the USS Holland and the USS Fulton. He worked for National Chromium for 42 years.

He leaves his wife Karen (Place) LaPalme of Thompson and his daughter Heidi Vala and her husband Dennis of Brookfield, CT, sisters Claire Rice of Arizona, Loretta Joly of Putnam, CT, Cecile Favreau of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.  

Calling hours will be Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT. Burial with Full Military Honors will be at a later date in West Thompson Cemetery. Share a memory at smithandwalkerfh.com
