Obituary of Katherine Mae Pedersen

Katherine Mae “Kathy” Pedersen 67, of Canterbury, died July 11, 2021. Beloved companion of Dorathy Senay for many years, she died March 5, 2015. Kathy was born February 11, 1954 in Putnam, CT.

She had been employed by Brand Rex / General Cable for over 40 years. Kathy grew up in West Glocester, RI., and moved to Canterbury.

Kathy is survived by her sisters Harriete R. Montie, Janice M. Dufresne (Edward), sister-in-law Diana Pedersen, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Richard H. Pedersen, Sr., mother Verna R. (Steere) Pedersen, her brothers Richard “Sonny” Pedersen, Jr., George N. Pedersen, her sister-in-law Judy Pedersen and nephew Eric Pedersen.  

A Calling hour will be Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT, burial to follow in Munyan Cemetery, Putnam, CT.
