Obituary of Joanne Gilbert

Joanne (Abram) Gilbert, 66 of Putnam died Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at her sister’s home in Woodstock, CT. She was born in Putnam on August 27, 1955, daughter of the late John C. and Florence (Girard) Abram. Joanne was a lifelong resident of Putnam, CT.

She leaves her two sons Christopher Gilbert and his wife Anna Figueroa of Eastford, CT, Timothy Gilbert and his wife Ashley of West Warwick, RI, sisters Barbara Abram of Woodstock, CT, Cheryl Lambert and her husband Dan of Killingly, CT, brothers Keith Abram and his wife Jeannie of Putnam, CT, Dale Abram of Grafton, MA, grandchildren Kyle Gilbert, Ameliana Gilbert and Loucia Gilbert. She also leaves her longtime partner Jay Dumas of Putnam, CT.

A Graveside Service will be Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Cemetery, Providence Street, Putnam, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of Northeast Connecticut, PO Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260. Share a memory at Smithandwalkerfh.com
