Donnie was a “gentle giant,” with a heart of gold. I cherish the years I worked in his, and his brother, Sonny’s, home, the good times we shared in my home, and the countless phone calls we had for many years. To know him and be even a small part of his life was a privilege. He always referred to me as his “sister,” and I in turn referred to Donnie as my “brother.” He will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to his family and caregivers.
