Obituary of Leona Espinosa

Leona (Lemoine) Espinosa, 96, of Brooklyn, CT, died Friday, December 10, 2021 at Day Kimball Hospital. Beloved wife of William J. Espinosa, Sr. for 72 years, he died January 4, 2017. She was born in Norwich, CT, April 10, 1925, daughter of Leo and Florida (Raymond) Lemoine. She enjoyed cooking, baking and especially loved spending her time with all her grandchildren. Leona was a Communicant of St. James Church in Danielson, CT.

She leaves her children, William Espinosa, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Putnam, her daughter Pam St. John and her husband Steve of Eastford, six grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Leo, Arthur, Alice, Jean, Dorothy, Anais and Diane.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson.
