Obituary of Donald P. Fafard

Donald P. Fafard, Sr., 67, of Bailey Hill Road, East Killingly, died unexpectedly Tuesday at home. He was born December 30, 1939 in Webster, MA, son of the late Napoleon and Christina Fafard. Don was a carpenter and worked in the area all his life. He has made his home in East Killingly for the last 15 years, formerly of Thompson. He was a communicant of ST Anne's Church, Ballouville. He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and a former member of the East Killingly Fire Department. He served in the US Navy. He leaves his companion of 15 years, Beverly Marchionni; his children: Donald Fafard, Jr. of Setauket, NY; Marie Fafard of Brooklyn; Brenda Wallace of Danielson; Lynn Marchionni of Norwich; Gail Beausoleil of Quinebaug; Robert L'Heureux of LI, NY; Paula L'Heureux of Voluntown, Lisa Vignault of Voluntown: Donna Fafard Quinebaug; his siblings: Roland Fafard of Thompson; Joann Dubois of Thompson; Robert Fafard of N. Grosvenordale; Alan Fafard of Colchester;Gene Fafard of Putnam; several grandchildren including Gina Rose; Laura; Nicole; Michael, Jamie, Shayne; Meagan; Eiel; Brandon; Tianna, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son: Michael W. Fafard, Sr. in 1995 and a daughter: Denise M. Fafard in 1960. The Funeral will be from the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, Monday, December 10, 2007 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in ST Anne's Church, 227 Ballouville Road, Ballouville, CT. Calling Hours Sunday, 6 to 8 PM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home. Burial in Center Cemetery, Woodstock.
