Obituary of Rodger Lee McDonald
Rodger Lee McDonald, 51, of Danielson died unexpectedly on February 17, 2022 in Danielson. He was born in Putnam on January 31, 1971 son of Betty J. (Heldreth) McDonald and the late Marvin L. McDonald.
Rodger was a life long resident of Danielson. He was a hard worker, was an avid Patriots fan and loved to fish. If you knew him … you loved him! He loved his family dearly, and gave his all to his mom. He loved to laugh with his buddies and had a great sense of humor that will never be forgotten! God, he always cracked us up! Rodger loved all animals especially his baby boy Casey the cat. Rodger was an avid walker he would walk miles … everywhere! He would give his last penny if someone needed something even if that meant he had nothing. If Rodger didn’t feel well … he would never show it he would put on his best effort as though everything was great! Rodger was the baby of the family, but wise beyond his years! THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER, MY BEST FRIEND, MY BROTHER!!!!
He will be missed dearly… by his loving family and many friends that knew him!
Besides his mother Betty he leaves his brother Steven Allen McDonald of East Hartford, CT, sister Terry Lynn McDonald of Essex, CT, nephews Dustin L. Aliano of Virginia, Giovanni R. Aliano of Essex, CT, niece Cassandra I. Toal of Niantic, CT, uncle and aunt Tom and Betty Heldreth of WV, cousin Ernest Heldreth of NY and his beloved cat Casey.
