Obituary of Thomas E. Strange

Thomas E. Strange of Ashford CT, age 86, died Saturday March 26, 2022 at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam CT. He was husband of the late Constance (Strand) Strange. A graduate of Manchester High School, Tom grew up and resided in Manchester for 39 years before residing in Ashford for the last 47 years. He was the son of the late T. Everett and Lila P. (Dennler) Strange and brother of the late Michael D, Strange. He is survived by his sons Timothy (Julie) Strange and Randall Strange; and was the proud grandfather of Patrick (Rachel) Strange, Ryan Strange and Meaghan Strange. A peacetime veteran of the U.S.Army Reserves and a former volunteer fireman, he worked for Rex Lumber Co. in South Windsor for 41 years until retiring at 73. A private family memorial service is planned.
