Dear Anne and family,
I am so sorry to hear of the death of Walter! As a little girl I always enjoyed seeing him when my parents and I visited “the chicken farm”. One incident I fondly remember was when he took me for a ride in his convertible! This started my lifelong love of convertibles!
We now live in Vermont and are sorry we can’t be there. He will always be remembered!

Dear Anne, Kelly, Michael, Martin and Sharon, please know that we are so very sorry for the loss of your beloved husband and father. I will always remember going to Anne and Walt’s home to visit with my family and running around the house and having lots of fun with our cousins! Walt to me was full of kindness--a big guy with an even bigger heart. He always left everyone smiling and feeling loved. Walt will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Cathy, John and Rachael

Our sincere condolences to Anne, Kelly, Mike, Martin, and Sharon. Walt was a good friend to both our dads, and well respected in both hid personal and professional life. After a long initial embrace with Doug, we are sure that he is playing a round of golf with Jimmy, Charlie, and Ed, reminiscing about the old Killingly Putnam football rivalry and making sure Jimmy doesn't cheat on the scorecard. May you rest in peace Walt. Jeff & Joslyn French

I've known Walter since I was 15 years old. He was a giant of a man, both physically and energetically. He was always so gracious, warm, generous, welcoming, funny and sweet to me. I have so many fond memories of times we spent together. I loved him very much. My deepest condolences to his beloved wife Anne and his family.

My mother, who worked as a secretary for and with Walt in Moosup, never spoke anything but kind words about him. She also predicted his eventual rise to Kaman's Presidency once he took his talents to Bloomfield. He was a gentleman who never forgot others' contributions to his success.
