I'm a former college roommate of Jean's daughter, Janet and I've visited her family numerous times over the years. After Jean was widowed and on 1 of Janet's & my visits to her, Jean told me about a European vacation that she took with her parents in the summer of 1933 when she was 12. She said that when they visited Germany, they had to get off the sidewalk to let Hitler's brownshirts March by. She said the tension was so thick that you could cut it with a knife. She also said she felt at the time as though nothing good would come of it. What a memory and to be able to see firsthand a piece of history!!

Mrs. Woodward was always kind and welcoming — I loved my dinners and sleepovers at the Woodwards’ house when Nancy and I were teenagers. Sending condolences and love to all of you. Thank you for so many happy memories.

Condolences to the entire Woodward family. Mrs. W was a treasure and the kindest person I ever met. She was patient, thoughtful, decent and "good" in every way imaginable. A remarkable person. God bless.

What a love Jean was. She was kind, loving, supportive and always willing to listen. She always cared more about how you were than asking about how she was. Our ministry in Thompson was blessed by her and Ted's support. We will always remember them both with much love.

One of the most pleasant ladies I have ever met, always ready for a long conversation, very kind and soft spoken. She is now in heaven with the angels watching over all of you. Thinking of all of you during this difficult time.
