Obituary of Marsha Kallgren
Marsha (Wentworth) Kallgren, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday June 10th. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Cherie Borski of Worcester and her stepdaughter Jenny. Kenneth Borski and his wife Lynne of Thompson, CT, their children Amber, Grace, Corrina, Bobby, Joey and Jessica. Robert Borski and his wife Deborah of Woodstock, CT, as well as their children Owen and Elaina. Her stepchildren Sharon Harmon and her husband Joel of Amboy, Indiana, their children Sarah, Patricia and Jason. Craig Kallgren and his wife Beth of Cokato, Minnesota, and their children Elyse and Jens. Duane Kallgren and his wife Deanne of Dudley, MA, their children Taylor and Alexandra. John Kallgren and his wife Carmen of Woodstock, CT, and their children Clinton, Clara and Carl. Carl Kallgren and his wife Jennifer of Dayville, CT, and their children Hannah and Zackary. She also leaves her siblings Robert Wentworth, Charleen Arguin and Brian DeWitte. As well as her close friend Charles Cunningham and her lifelong partner-in-crime Suzie. She was predeceased by her husband Carl Kallgren, parents Mable and Robert Wentworth, sister Sandra Robinson and her brother Bruce Wentworth.
Marsha was raised in Oxford, MA, and graduated from Oxford High School where she made many lifelong friends. Marsha worked at Dwyer’s restaurant for many years before retiring from Commerce Insurance in 2009. She raised her three children in Webster, MA, before meeting the love of her life Carl Kallgren and moving to Woodstock, CT.
Marsha loved watching the Red Sox and always made the time to see all her grandchildren’s sporting and extracurricular events. She had many interests throughout her life including traveling with Carl, bowling, playing cards, scrabble, and most importantly she loved the time spent with her children, grandchildren, extended family, countless friends, and dog Mo.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 14, 2022 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT. Funeral Will be at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home, followed by burial in Elmvale Cemetery, Woodstock, CT.
