Obituary of Nell G. Caron

Nell G. Caron, 94, of Danielson, CT died on August 28, 2022 at Colonial Health & Rehab in Plainfield, CT. She was born Nell Gladys Brown in Woodstock, CT on April 23, 1928. She attended schools in Woodstock before moving to the Danielson, CT area. She married Richard Joseph Caron on September 30, 1950. They were married 39 years when Richard died unexpected. Nell is the last surviving member of this Caron’s family generation.

She worked all her life until her mid-seventies in various jobs, but well known for her work at The Stables in Putnam and Paddock in Dayville. Nell was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, New York Giants fan and New England Patriots fan.

She is survived by her nephew and wife, her caretakers these past years, Adelard (Del) and Lynn Caron of Brooklyn. Also Linda Newcomb of Danielson and the Rev. Donald Caron of New Jersey; her great nephews and nieces, Michelle Lamoureux, David Caron, Suzon Diehl, Mark Caron and Tommy Newcomb; her nine great-great nieces and nephews and five great-great-great nephews and nieces who she took the utmost pride and interest in.

Del and Lynn would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff on the Maple Wing and the ladies in the Rec Department at Colonial Health & Rehab in Plainfield for the providing Nell with the best TLC these past 20 months. Much appreciated.
