"I Was Always With You...You Will Always Be With Me"
by Gerry Murak
I was...
...in your mind,
...in your heart.
...in your family,
...in your care,
...in your home,
...in your business,
...in your conversation,
...a witness to your life,
...at your bedside,
...caring for you,
...at your wake,
...reading your obituary,
...at your funeral,
...talking to your friends,
...thinking about you,
...savoring your words,
...remembering what you taught me,
...realizing you will always be with me.
Thanks Dad, for always being there.
It's hard to believe it's been 2 weeks now. I miss you so much, now there's just an emptiness in my heart that'll be there until the day I come home to you. Watch over us and keep us safe just as you did when you were here. I love you dad, R.I.P.

Lora Erskine-your wife posted a condolence
It has been a week since you have gone to be with God, the pain of missing you is strong and hurts. But even in your death, you are still my miracle-you are still teaching us, still my strength and my rock to carry on. Memories are serving me well, regrets I have but few, because you and God will see me (and us) through. When we met you didn't take just a piece of my heart, you took the whole thing and then carefully tried to guard it for me from hurt and harm, but now your toughest job has just begun. Between the three us, you will be kept busy keeping us from hurt and harm as best you can from up above. I love you, miss you, and yet I know you will always be with me. Take care and till we meet again my friend, my love, my husband - sprinkle down your love for us from time to time. I loved being your wife for 25 years! You were a good man, husband and father.

Remarkable men are fathers of daughters.
They know things some men never learn:
like the meanings of flip, fall and tip;
and how to pin up a hem.
Fathers of girls are hardier. They survive
year of burned brownies, and sad
heavy cakes with shocking pink frosting.
They endure maulings of hugging and lap-sitting.
They drown mutely beneath
cacophonies of girl talk.
One reason they're hardier is they're
better exercised: lifting; getting tops off jars;
being porters and expert car packers.
They also run a late night escort service.
Fathers of daughters acquire a marvelous savvy,
like noticing new dresses;
and when you look pretty, saying so.
They truly do comprehend
how at times being a girl is hard,
such as in little boats, or not dated for the class party.
But above all, fathers of daughters
like daughters,
and of fatherhood that must be what
the start and end is.
And every girl knows who her best friend is.
Even though we faught, a lot, you were still my strong hold and my Dad. I miss you so much more and more every day dad, I wish we still had more time together becauase there's so many things left for you to see!! But now you have the best seat in the house. I love and miss you!

I have great memories of Ted at the Band Competitions. Always there and driving the golf cart. Also, stopping by the school to see if Lora was going to be home soon as we chatted.
Also, it always seemed that if I ran into Big Y for some quick, there was Ted. I seemed to always run into him there even tho he said he didn't go there often.
God Bless!

To Lora and family of Ted Erskine, I am so sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you all and Ted as well. I knew Ted from GoodYear, it was a joy to go there with, Ted, Skip and the rest of the crew. I remember the snowball fights they had inside the garage etc. not only spending money for auto repairs you could have a good laugh or two at the same time. Ted was a GOOD GUY!
Ted will be missed I am sure. I have missed Ted since GoodYear closed in Putnam. I had heard that Ted was in bad health but never had the pleasure of meeting up with him sinced GoodYear closed.
No one really wants to hear that he is in a better place but the suffering is over, you do have to thank God for that. In my thoughts. AL.

Joey & Pam LaPan posted a condolence
ray this helped me and i hope it will help you
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
