Many wonderful memories of our childhood growing up next door to such a wonderful family. Rick always new how to add cheer to someone’s day. Gone too soon; He will missed. Thoughts and prayers to his family and all of the lives he touched. Godspeed, my friend

23 years at KMS always loved having a talk with Rick. Such a wonderfully friendly, kind man. Always willing to go above to help out however he could. His smile and laugh always brightened my day. He was one of the few guys in his dept who took the time to know some of us well. I am so sorry for your loss.

I worked with Rick and his daughter Brittany. Rick was a great guy always happy and when he sees you he would go out of his way to say hi. If you needed something Rick was there to help. Pat and I recently saw Rick. We will miss him calling us by our Nick name Tomasik and Shondovan. I will miss him asking me “where is my his Asian wife”. He will be missed greatly. Rest in peace and love you<3

Rick and I met most often when one of us was up a ladder. He might be changing a light bulb in my classroom or I might be on stage hanging lights. Rick always had time for people. Kind, tough, hard working, friendly. One of the best people I ever had the privilege to work with in Killingly. Godspeed and good thoughts to Rick and all his family.

Rick and I first met in 7th grade at Killingly Junior High school. We re-met when I joined Killingly Public Schools 23 years ago. Rick ALWAYS had time to chat, both about the old days and the new days we were living. He was ALWAYS a brightness in my day. People were important to Rick, his was a genuine interest in who you were and what you thought. I always felt valued by Rick. He once took the time to bring me a photo from 8th grade that we both were in--a memory that I had forgotten is now a double memory for me--times spent with Rick. God bless you my friend. Thanks for all the "chats"!

I'll miss the twinkle in his eye and the laugh that would follow whenever he spoke about someone or something that he adored. The moments of pure, unbridled joy on a beautiful day, no matter the weather. Always went out of his way for me, and I only wish that the scales felt more even. I would have let him know that he got me through some hard days when he wasn't even trying; it was just who he was to me. Love you Brittany & Jenna.

I worked in the Killingly Public School for 20 years at the before and after school program. I knew Rick for a long time, he always stopped by to say hello. In the early 2000’s I had a health issue and he always offered to help me get ready for my day. He also became a personal friend to myself and my husband. He will be greatly missed. Pat Tetreault
