Obituary of John B. Grobofski

John B. Grobofski, 86 of Moosup formerly of Ballouville, died December 29, 2022 at W. W. Backus Hospital in Norwich. Beloved husband of the late Elsie May (Eno) Grobofski, she died in 1998. He was born in Putnam on October 13, 1936 son of the late Bolek and Sophie (Juber) Grobofski.

John worked for William Prym in Dayville for 30 years and was a shop steward for the union, he also worked at the William Prym Credit Union. John was a communicant of St. Anne Church until it closed then St. Joseph Church until it closed. He was very active with the church BINGO for 30 plus years. He enjoyed cutting wood, gardening and canning.

He leaves his children Cheryl Brisson and her husband John III of Moosup, John Grobofski, Jr. of South Carolina, sister Josephine Cully of Tennessee, grandchildren John Brisson IV, Anthony Brisson, Ashley Brisson, Jonathan Grobofski, great grandchildren John Brisson V, Aubrie Brisson, Jonathan Grobofski, Jr., Julianne Grobofski, nieces Joyce, Julie and Amanda.  

A Graveside service will be Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery in Dayville, CT. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
