Obituary of Karen L. Dimock

Karen L. (Tourtellotte) Dimock, 77, of Woodstock passed away Friday, February 24 at her home in Woodstock, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Charles Dimock. She was born December 1, 1945 in Putnam, daughter of the late Jerome and May (Law) Tourtellotte. 

Originally from Manchester and graduated in Oxford, MA. Karen was always willing to help as she helped fix up the family home. She was a second wave volunteer for the Woodstock Volunteer Fire Department EMT Ambulance Service for 10 years. She loved bird watching and enjoyed crafting. She was a Justice of the Peace performing many weddings. Karen also volunteered at the Woodstock Fair Crafts and Kids Exhibits.

Besides her husband Charles, she leaves her son’s Erik Dimock and his wife Kelly of Woodstock, Ross Dimock and his wife Stacy of Thompson, sister’s Ruth Kneier of Putnam, Lynne Foote and her husband Tony of Woodstock, grandchildren Kevin Dimock, Harley Dimock, Charlie Dimock, Michael Dimock, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Janice MacLellan and her infant brother Roger Tourtellotte. 

A calling hour will be Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT, Burial will be private at Elmvale Cemetery, Woodstock, CT.
