I’m saddened to hear that Nathan left this world too soon. I haven’t seen him since we were teens, when I spent a lot of time with Erin in the Grist household. I always really liked his reflective and gentle spirit. I fondly remember him always driving Erin and I home from school and he was very patient with us as we dominated most of the conversations. I also recall he was very entertained every month by us reading the column in the teen magazine about people’s most embarrassing moments which I think made us all feel like we weren’t too unusual. My deep sympathy goes out to the whole family, and I hope the memories of him provide a little comfort in the grief of this tragic loss.

So very sorry Sherry and family. Nate brought his boys to my house for Halloween a few years back. He said to me it was his favorite house to come to when he was a kid. I thought it was cute when he brought his sons. Certainly , he has gone too soon. My heart aches for you all.

My favorite memory is when I was a young boy going to my aunts house and hearing some kind of awesome sound coming from down stairs so when I went down to the basement I had seen my cousin nathan on the electric guitar and Trevor on the drums calibrating to something they created they sounded so awesome and that's when I knew that I wanted to play an instrument just like them I will truly miss you and love you nate your cousin cam!

Very sorry to hear of Nathan's passing. My husband Bill and I lived across the street from Nathan and his wife when they bought their house in Willimantic. We didn't know him well, but he was very warm, genuine, and friendly. They lived in that home through the birth of their 2 sons, before moving to Pomfret in 2014.
Nathan was very kind and social with his neighbors. He was always ready to lend a helping hand or to listen for a moment to a story or a concern. His sense of humor was also uplifting.
Sending prayers and support to his father Ken, his sons Nicholas and Samuel, and all of his family members. He will be sorely missed, but hopefully you all can share support with each other by sharing many special memories over time. Sue & Bill Adams

I have worked with Nathan at Nichols College for the past 7 years. We were one of is IT Vendors. My favorite Memory is after one of our work sessions, we would then go over the to Golf Course on Campus and play 9 holes. Nathan was just learning to play and always loved at and had a good time

Worked with Nate for many years. He was always a funny and uplifting presence in any room. I remember once I had an issue happen at work and there was a staff event after. Nate noticed that I wasn't being my normal self and instead of putting me on the spot and asking if something was the matter ... he came over and just started talking about things he knew I enjoyed from our previous conversations. After a bit of us laughing together, he said, 'Whatever is bugging you man, remember tomorrow's another day.' and headed off. That always meant a lot to me and I know others whose spirits Nate picked up without being melodramatic or intrusive. I wish I got to know him better and am shocked, like everyone else, but hope his family will take comfort in all the little positive interactions so many of us had with Nate. They say that true character is defined by how you treat people when nobody else is watching. Nate was a man of true character. RIP

It was always a joy to spend time with and learn from Nathan. He made people around him better, and somehow managed to make being an IT guy look cool.
I will treasure the times I've spent with him.
