Obituary of Harold A. Rohloff

Harold Andrew Rohloff, 53, originally of Woodstock, CT, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2023. He was born on July 30, 1969, in Morristown, NJ, to Margaret Hogan Rohloff and the late Harold Albert Rohloff. Besides his mother, Harold leaves behind his brother John Rohloff, his sister-in-law Nicki Rohloff, and two nieces among many others he adored.

Harold worked for Stop and Shop in Putnam as a bagger for decades, held positions at the Cinnamon Tree Bakery, and served as a volunteer teacher for gym classes at Woodstock Elementary School. In addition to his work, he loved music, traveling to new places, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Harold’s infectious smile, exuberant energy, and plentiful hugs will be missed by all who knew him.

A wake will be held for Harold on May 21, 2023, at Smith and Walker Funeral Home in Putnam, CT, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Services will be held on May 22, 2023, at 11:00 am at Most Holy Trinity Church in Pomfret, CT. Burial to follow at Elmvale cemetery, Woodstock, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Connecticut Special Olympics in Harold’s memory (https://www.specialolympics.org).
