Obituary of Rene Bernier

Rene D. Bernier, 62, of Lexington, KY passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023. He was born in Putnam, CT and he was the son of the late Donald and Janet Bernier of Dayville, CT. He will truly be missed by his entire family and many friends he has made over the years.  He is survived by his sisters Laurie Crown of Lexington, KY, Lynn Wytas of Connecticut and Florida and Lisa Schmidt of Brooklyn, CT. His nieces Victoria Nash, Emma Nash, Morgan Schmidt, Adele Schmidt and Elizabeth Bissonnette. His nephews Benjamin and Nicholas Wytas, Nathan Nash and Manuel Bissonnette.  

Rene was best known for helping everyone he knew and even those he didn’t. He was a very caring healthcare worker and enjoyed being in the service industry.  Helping people and genuine kindness to others brought him extreme joy.  His ever joking manner and making people laugh was the hallmark of his personality.
