Obituary of Richard K. Ahart
Richard Keith Ahart, 74, of Brooklyn, CT passed away peacefully February 5, 2024 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Espinosa) Ahart. Richard was born August 13, 1949 in Saint Paul, MN, son of the late Robert and Janet (Overbee) Ahart.
Richard was a Communicant of Our Lady of La Salette Church in Brooklyn, CT. He was an avid bowler and competed in State Tournaments and National Tournaments. One time he bowled a triplicate in a State Tournament. Richard loved golfing with his friends Mark and Dan and in High School he was a Caddie. He enjoyed traveling out west to visit family and also trips to Maine for camping and deep sea fishing. Richard worked for Travelers Insurance for over 40 years as a Analyst and Program Developer.
He leaves his wife Judith Ahart of Brooklyn, CT; his brother Steven Ahart of Sun City West, AZ and his dog Dakota Skye.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of La Salette Church, 25 Providence Road, Brooklyn, CT. A Calling Hour will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson, CT.
