Charles H. Perry Obituary

Charles H. Perry, age 90, passed away peacefully at the Westview Healthcare Center on February 16, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Charlie was a devoted husband to his wife Ruth who passed away in 2020 after 62 years of marriage.  He is survived by his two sons James and his wife Deborah, Robert and his wife Joyce, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.


 


Charlie was born in Worcester, MA to Roger and Marion Perry.  After graduating from Commerce High School in Worcester, he earned a bachelor’s degree in wood technology from Michigan State University. He spent his professional career working as an engineer and retired from Superwinch in Putnam, CT.


 


Early in his life, Charlie served his country in the Naval Reserves.  He was a lifelong avid photographer and the founder of the Quinebaug Valley Photography Club.  Charlie loved a good deal and often frequented the local yard sales in order to find a bargain.


 


Calling hours are respectfully omitted and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in Charlie’s memory.
