Obituary of Cecile Mary Blain

Cecile Mary Blain,74, of Plainfield, CT passed away after a brave battle with cancer on March 18, 2024 at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam, CT. She was born July 4, 1949 in Putnam, CT daughter of the late Leodore and Anna Mary (Leclair) Blain.

Cecile was a Communicant of St. James Church and worked in the Dietitian Department at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital until she retired.

She was an avid reader and a collector of many books. Cecile was a dog lover and loved playing Bingo, Michigan Rummy and spending time with her sisters and family. She had a quiet calm nature with a great sense of humor. She saw the good in everything.

She leaves her sister Jean A. Morris who she resided with most of her life; her niece Patricia Kozlowski; her nephew George Morris and other nieces and nephews; her several great nieces and nephews. She also leaves two special friends Georgia and Gloria, as well as her furry friend Geronimo. She was predeceased by her brothers Lionel Blain and Donald Blain; her sisters Theresa Boucher and Shirley Holmes.

A Calling Hour will be Friday, March 22, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT. A Funeral Home Service will be at 11:00 AM followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson, CT. Share a memory at Gagnonandcostellofh.com
