Obituary of Sandra J. Racine

Sandra J. Racine, 86, of Danielson CT, the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Racine died Monday March 4, 2024 at her home. She was born and raised in Putnam, the daughter of the late Hayden B. and Edna (Authier) Franklin and Viola (Neal) Franklin.

Sandra was a communicant of St. Anne’s Church in Ballouville. Her passions were traveling, dancing, reading, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, spending time with her family, friends and her dogs. Sandra was loved by everyone who met her.

Sandra was an integral part of the family business which was started at their home in Ballouville as Racine’s Rifle Room. The business was relocated to the Putnam Shopping Center in 1966 and renamed Bob Racine Sports.

She leaves her sons Kevin and Keith Racine, her siblings Mary Jakubowski and Douglas Franklin, daughter-in-law Renee, and grandchildren Connor, John, Seth, Kara, and her great grandchildren. She was predeceased by son Gregg Racine and her sister Carol Belliveau.

A graveside service will be held on September 7, 2024 at 10 AM in St. Joseph Cemetery, Dayville, CT.
