Obituary of Ruth Dauphinais

Ruth Dauphinais, 86, of Dayville passed away April 7, 2024 at her home in Danielson. She was the beloved wife of the late Rene M. Dauphinais for 59 years. Ruth was born in Attawaugan, CT on December 11, 1937, daughter of the late Russell and Florence (Carr) Bransfield.

Ruth worked for American Optical and for the Killingly Intermediate School in the Cafeteria. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family. Ruth also loved her flower gardens and her favorite place to shop was Sunshine Flower Shop.

She leaves her daughters Michelle Dauphinais and her husband Ricky Miller and Darlene Dauphinais; her sister Rosalie Borie and her husband Paul; her grandchildren Lisa Renaud, Chester Phillips, Krystal Phillips of Putnam, Rene Mullen, John Mullen; her nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Also her best friend Margaret Stocks. She was predeceased by her husband Rene and her brother Paul Bransfield. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the Connecticut Children’s Foundation, Inc., 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106.

A Gathering will be at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 10:45 AM till the start of the Memorial Service at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson, CT. Share a memory at gagnonandcostellofh.com
