Paul Lavigne

Obituary of Paul Lavigne

Paul Robert Lavigne passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 6, 2024.

He was the 2nd son of the late Normand and Gloria Lavigne and beloved brother of Gary Lavigne (Carol), Gail Trudeau (Guy), Ann LaRoche (Tom),

Joan Barlow (Dennis, deceased), Susan Lavigne and many nieces and nephews.

Paul was mentally and physically challenged from birth, yet despite these difficulties, he had a love for life and people. He participated in the Special Olympics in his earlier years and especially enjoyed biking and bowling. He also enjoyed looking at family pictures, playing Uno and watching the Wizard of Oz.  When he was able to work, he always liked to finish the job and even looked for additional chores at his group home.

Our family would be remiss not to mention his other family. We would like to recognize the caring hearts that afforded him a full and rewarding life.

Foremost, the fellow residents of his group home, the wonderful and caring people who worked for Sunrise at Hawkins Street in Danielson,

Connecticut, his day program (NEPS), vacations at Harkness Camp, and his friends at Classic Pizza in Brooklyn, Connecticut.

In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to any of the worthy causes mentioned above. A graveside memorial will be scheduled at a later date in October at Westfield Cemetery in Danielson, CT. Share a memory at Gagnonandcostellofh.com
