Mabel and I were table companions for seven years at Seely-Brown. We enjoyed many good conversation and great laughs.
Mabel was an independent, generous woman. She loved nature and cultivated her little garden every year. Ms. Kitty Pearl was dear to Mabel and always well cared for.... and still is.... by women who admired Mabel.
May Mabel rest peacefully in the loving presence of her God,

Mabel was a dear friend, fellow parishioner of Trinity Church, and a devoted lover of our dogs. Through the years she took care of Asa and Rocco, who never minded our traveling because their sweet companion stayed with them. One incident that showed an extraordinary connection between Mabel and Rocco, our 10-year-old Golden Retriever, was when she collapsed in our apartment. Rocco saved the day by going up the exterior fire stairs for the first time and alerted the people on the second floor! They followed the dog to find Mabel unresponsive and called 911. We knew Mabel was a special friend to our dog, and he responded instinctively and lovingly to her.
Our sympathy extends to her family and to friends at Trinity Church. We thank God for Mabel, whose life was a testament of faith, perseverance, and kindness.
