She was born on October 30, 1922, the daughter of Charles and Nellie (Valley) Huber. She grew up in Moosup, CT where she graduated from Plainfield High School. She was the widow of Norman E. "Skip" Green, her devoted husband of 61 years. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her daughters Linda G. Torgeson and husband Rick of Eastford, Cindy G. Kowalchuk and husband Alex of Pomfret; son-in-law Tony Naines of Naples, FL; grandchildren William Bibeault, Jr.(Michelle), Jennifer Larkin(Todd), Christopher Bibeault(Robin) all of Eastford, Ashley Kowalchuk and Nicholas Kowalchuk of Pomfret, Brian Naines of Jacksonville, FL; and great-grandchildren Kaia Naines of Jacksonville, FL and Max Larkin of Eastford. She was predeceased by a loving daughter, Donna G. Naines. Arline worked at Pratt & Whitney as an executive secretary during the early years of her marriage, but after the birth of her daughters, devoted her time to their upbringing, instilling in them the importance of family and tradition. A great cook, we will fondly remember times spent around the table enjoying one of her delicious family dinners. She always enjoyed a good book and a challenging cross-word puzzle. In 1960 she joined with her husband in the founding and development of Lindon Tree Service of Eastford, serving in an administrative capacity until her retirement. She and her husband enjoyed many winter months at their vacation home in Hobe Sound, FL. Her kindness, generosity, quick wit and love of family will be sadly missed.
