Obituary of Esther Elizabeth Weed

Esther "Betty" Elizabeth Weed, 92, of Pleasant Valley Farm, Woodstock, formerly of Stamford. She died February 25, 2008 at her home. She was the wife of 67 years to Richard Weed. She was born September 23, 1915 in New Canaan, daughter of the late Judge Benjamin and Ivy Mead. She was a graduate of Graycourt Academy and the University of Connecticut with honors in horticulture. Betty was devoted to her family, gardens and the animals on the farm. She leaves her husband Richard, a daughter Betsy Dietz; grandchildren: Justin Dietz; Suzann Dietz; Sean Weed; great grandchildren: Taylor and Zachary Weed. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan and her son Timothy. Funeral Services will be Private.
