Obituary of Gladys K. Johnson
Gladys K. Johnson, 98, of Thompson, died Tuesday morning at the Westview Health Care Center in Dayville. She was the beloved wife of the late Elmer Johnson. They were married September 7, 1935 in St. Joseph Church in Webster, MA. Her husband died in 1969. Born in Dudley, on November 13, 1909, daughter of the late Felix and Mary (Spyrka) Kuzdzal. She had made her home in Thompson since 1935 moving from Dudley, MA, a communicant of St. Joseph Church in North Grosvenordale. She was employed for many years at the former Risom Manufacturing, retiring in 1974. She leaves two sons: David Johnson and his wife Jane of Thompson; Eric Johnson and his wife Karen of Meriden, a sister: June Jutton of Annapolis, MD, five grandchildren Lars, Ragnar, Kristofor, Karen and Britta and six great grandchildren: Cole, Rori, Svea, Kristine, Eric and Eric She was predeceased by her siblings: Walter, Helen, Felix, Henry and Joseph. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Church, 18 Main Street, North Grosvenordale. No calling hours. Burial at a later date in the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Memorial Fund of St.Joseph Church, 18 Main Street, N. Grosvenordale, CT 06255. To share a memory "Light A Candle" at www.smithandwalkerfh.com
