Obituary of Wilbur Tatro, Jr.

Wilbur R. "Red" Tatro, Jr., 79, of Wauregan, died Monday, February 5, 2013 at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. Beloved husband of Theresa Willard Tatro, they were married August 29, 1981. He was born September 9, 1933 in Springfield, VT. Son of the late Wilbur, Sr., and Mable (Lynds) Tatro. Wilbur was a member of the American Legion Post #184 in Webster and the Irish Club in Putnam. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Marine Corp. He worked for Kaman Aerospace as a Machine Supervisor for 35 years. He loved to dance, play cards and horseshoes. He was an avid camper and loved spending time with his family. Before his illness, he loved growing tomatoes in his garden. He was an awesome guy and was loved by all. He is survived by his wife Theresa and his children; Lorraine Tatro of Brooklyn, Perry Tatro of Danielson, Vickie Devish and her husband Robert of Webster, MA, Harvey Willard and his wife Rosemary of Alabama, David Willard and his wife Marilyn of Wauregan, Dennis Willard of Pennsylvania and Steven Willard of Wauregan, 19 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Wilbur was predeceased by his siblings Ralph, Floyd, Edith, Mary and his children Michael and Chris Tatro and James Willard. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 12 Noon at the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds, Street, Danielson, CT.
