Obituary of Alvin Paul Jarvis

Alvin "Paul" Jarvis, 72, of Mary Crest Drive, Putnam, died unexpectedly Monday morning, August 11, 2008 at home. He was the husband of Nancy (Peloquin) Jarvis. Born July 4, 1936 in Putnam, son of the late Alvin and Pauline (Beaudreault) Jarvis. He had made his home in Putnam all his life, a communicant of St. Mary Church of the Visitation in Putnam. He owned his own landscaping business and had retired from the State of Connecticut Tree Crew. He served three years with the National Guard. He leaves his wife of 22 years, Nancy, a son Randy Jarvis of Ocala, Florida, step-children, Daniel Harris of Brooklyn, Amy Stewart, Auburn, MA, Justin Harris of Myrtle Beach, SC, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was predeceased by his children Gwen, Gary, Wendy and Karen Peabody. A memorial service will be Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 11:30 AM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam.
