Obituary of Florence A. Lussier

Florence A. Lussier, 78, of Munyan Road, Putnam, CT, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA. She was the wife of Nelson LaRose, they were married June 28, 2008 in St. Anne's Church in Ballouville. Her first husband Roger A. Lussier died April 30, 1998. She was born October 8, 1934 in Danielson, daughter of the late Napoleon and Corrina (Glennar) Perreault. Florence had made her home in Putnam most of her life, a communicant of St. James Church in Danielson. She was employed at the US Button in Putnam for over 40 years as a quality control inspector, she retired in 2010. She operated Flo's Ceramics in Putnam for over 20 years. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, she will be remembered for her sense of humor, and could always make people laugh. She enjoyed dancing with Nelson and had a great love for music. In addition to her husband, Nelson, she leaves her daughter, Carol LaBelle and her husband Steve of Dayville; sons, William Lussier and his wife Reagan of St. Petersburg, FL; Gregory Lussier and his wife Michelle of Clearwater, FL, grandchildren, Shannon, Jarred; great grandchildren Jade, Christian, Ella; step daughter, Norma LaRose of Woodstock and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in addition to her husband Roger, her son Dennis Lussier in 1984, her siblings, Leo, George, Irene, Lucien, Donald. Calling hours will be Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT, with a Celebration of Florence's Life at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in the spring in Munyan Cemetery, Putnam.
