BROOKLYN - Attie E. Chase, 90, of South Street, Brooklyn, died Monday evening at Haven Health Care in Danielson. Wife of the late Cromwell Dyer Chase, Sr., he died, March 10, 1990. Born December 10, 1917 in Putnam, daughter of the late Ernest W. and Attie Corena (Chase) Burton. Attie had made her home on South Street in Brooklyn for over 69 years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary #2650 in Danielson and of the Young Mother's Club in Brooklyn. She served as a Den Mother with Boy Scout Troop 44, Brooklyn for several years. Attie was a member of the Danielson Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She leaves her daughters: Alice Dutremble of Brooklyn, Nancy Charron of Brooklyn, Barbara Getchell and her husband Gaylen of Danielson, a son: Burton Chase and his wife Brenda of Brooklyn, a daughter-in-law: Peggy Chase of Stockbridge, GA, Sisters: Elsie Stark of Killingly, Doris Johnson of East Putnam, 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews including two special nieces Marge Long of East Putnam and Sally Lennon of Brooklyn. She was predeceased by a son: Cromwell "Joe" Dyer Chase, Jr. in 2005, brothers: Walter Burton and Ernest Burton, sons-in law: Gedeon Dutremble, Henry Charron, two grandsons: James Dutremble Robert Charron. The Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, October 10th at Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. Calling Hours will be 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Friday at the Funeral Home.
