Obituary of Betty J. Taylor

December 28, 1924 - October 9, 2008 PUTNAM - Betty J. Taylor, 83, of Sabin St. Putnam, died peacefully Thursday morning at her home. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest F. Taylor, her son Arthur R. Taylor, and her 5 siblings one being her twin brother. She leaves her daughters Cheryl Goulette, Loretta Hayes, Terry and Robert Heath, Deborah Davis, Louise and Christy DiZazzo, 11 loving grand children, and 15 great grandchildren. Betty was a Veteran of World War II where she was a clerk typeset for the Army. During her tour she met and married Ernest Taylor her husband of 56 years. Betty cherished the time she was able to spend with her daughters, her many grand children, and great grand children, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, television, sci-fi movies, fishing. She began her career as a hair dresser before being employed by Bates Shoe Shop in 1956, and retired from B&W in 1987. Betty was life time member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Her family would like to welcome everyone to help celebrate Betty's life. Calling hours are Sunday 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. The Funeral Service will be Monday at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with a procession to St. Mary's Cemetery with Military Honors.
