Obituary of Richard E. Gorski
Richard E. Gorski, 63, of Porter Pond Road, Moosup, died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the University of Massuachetts Medical Center in Worcester, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Theresa (Bellerive) Gorski. They were married January 28, 1983 in Whipple's Chapel. He was born February 23, 1945 in Webster, MA, son of the late Edward and Mary (O'Connell) Gorski.
He worked for many years as a security officer at the Coast Guard Academy in New London. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the US Army. He was a 1962 graduate of the Bartlett High School in Webster. His hobbies included Nascar & #88, working in his yard and garden and his greatest love was hanging out with his family.
He leaves in addition to his wife Theresa, his children: Janice McJunkins of Sterling, MA; Paul Goulette, Jr. of Quinebaug; Joseph Goulette of Canterbury; Melissa Goedeke of Wellington, FL; Dawn Fiori of Foster, RI; Shelly Wajer of Thompson; a sister: Jane Farland of Fabyan; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Predeceased by a brother Paul Gorski.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 10:00 AM from the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in ST Joseph Church, 12 Main Street, North Grosvenordale followed by Military Honors. Calling Hours will be Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
