it's almost been two years since you left us and even though we have all moved on, there isn't a day where i am reminded of you. A song on the radio, or a yelling pats fan at bar, sometimes the way someone says something. I miss you very much still but your memory goes on with funny stories remembrances of the past. Love you forever--
Amy

Although I hadn't seen him in a while, we always looked forward to seeing Jay and Scott at Uncle Dave and Aunt Helen's house for b-day parties. Tossing the football and playing wiffle ball in the yard. He looks a lot different in this picture than I remember but my parents said there were some great pics of the younger Jay that we knew.

I can’t comprehend just how sad you must feel
For the loss of someone you love.
This sorrowful time must still feel unreal
And you’re looking for strength from above.
I hope, from my heart, that your pain will decrease,
That your spirit will gain strength again,
And I pray that your faith will create inner peace
And that God will send blessings--Amen.

I remember hanging with Jay and the extended 13 Thompson Avenue "crew". Jay always had a flavor for living life to the fullest, holding his family and friends dear to his heart and showing a strong and personal side to those close to him. I will miss him and his devious ways....they were what made him special to me.

Diane Davis "Amy's Mom" posted a condolence
When I think about Jay, I go back to the night sometime last summer when Amy and I went to a local drinking establishment to wait for Jay to get out of work. He came in, ordered his drink and sat down as we began to shoot the breeze and commenting on Karaoke singers when Amy called my by my name "Diane" and Jay kinda looked dumbfounded. He said "I did not know your name was Diane" and Amy said "you did not know her name? what did you think it was?" Jay said kind of embarrassed "Amy's Mom". We all laughed and that was the night he got to know my real name.
Jay was a great guy and treated Amy and Cole like gold. I will miss him immensely. PEASCE BE WITH YOU, JAY! Love, Dianne "Amy's Mom"

I knew Jay pretty well, and we had a lot of opportunities to hang out together. Even though in the past year i only had the chance to see Jay usually when he was working, he always would come over and say,"Jon!" In a way that made me feel like it was always a pleasure to see me. Then he'd do his special handshake with me, and head back to the kitchen. He was a great person with a kind heart and a friendly nature. He will be greatly missed. I feel very lucky for having known him. Rest In Peace Jay.

To the Family of Jay Delaney:
Weep not for me now that I have passed. Remember the laughter, the affection, the joy not just the recent tears. Cherish the memories, our hopes and dreams. Hold fast to the love that we shared. Be happy with the time we spent together and being anew. For I am not really gone, I am closer than ever before. As the morning sun rises and throughout the busy day...I am with you. Until the setting sun disappears on the horizon and we watch the day turn into night...I am here. You may feel a faint breeze stir round your head, while you slumber as I gently kiss your forehead, "Good night." The stars that shine so brightly in my heavenly sky help me watch over you and keep you from harm. I am the wind in the trees and the song of a bird. I am moonbeams in a midnight sky and a glorious rainbow after the storm. I am morning dew and freshly-fallen snow. I am a butterfly flying overhead and a puppy happily at play. I am a smile on a stranger's face a gentle touch a warm embrace. Listen to the wind for my message of love. Watch the sun rise and set in the sky with me. Feel my essence encircle you with warm memories. Open your heart to know...I am not gone. Reach deep into your soul...You will find me. I am here. Have no fear. I am with you, Always. A poem that was given to me and thought I would share with you I’m truly sorry for your lose. My heart, thoughts and prayers goes out to each and every single one of you. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. May you all find comfort in the memories you share.
The Class of 1997 will never forget..

I cannot put into words how much Jay means to me. If everyone in the world could have a friend like Jason then people would truly understand the meaning of friendship. From the time I was a young teenager Jay was by best friend. From just hanging out doing pretty much nothing to going to Foxboro or Boston to watch a game, every single memory I have of Jason is a good one. I am better person for having known Jay and the world is a better place for having Jason be a part of it.
Jason, I love you...I'll see you again some day buddy.

One of my earliest memories of Jay was over 10 years ago when he and Derek thought it would be funny to take & throw my just planted hanging flowers off the front porch where I lived with my sister Amy. They got in trouble with me and soon replaced them with some shrubs I was sure they stole from WalMart, but may never know. Many years later he had become best friend and companion to her and Cole, and treated them well. For those good times they all had together, I am grateful. May we all remember him for the decent guy he really was!
