Obituary of K. Elois Leveille
K. Elois Leveille, 93, of O'Leary Road, Thompson, died Wednesday at the Day Kimball Hospital. She was the wife of the late G. Stanley Leveille, he died in 1970. Born April 24, 1915 in Thompson, daughter of the late Warren and Catherine (Converse) Logee.
She was a School Teacher; she earned her Master's in Education from Eastern Connecticut State University, teaching elementary school in Thompson for many years. She also taught in the Columbia School System and the Pomfret Community School. She made her home in Thompson all her life, a member of the Thompson Congregational Church. She enjoyed gardening and cross word puzzles. She will be remembered for her love and caring for her six children, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren and the times they spent together.
She leaves her children: Philip Leveille and his wife Susan of Thompson; Timothy Leveille and his wife Julie of Thompson; Bruce Leveille of Woodstock; Katherine Leveille of Thompson; Mary Anne Wexler and her husband Chuck of Thompson; her daughter-in-law; Gail Leveille of Thompson; siblings: Allan Logee of Danielson; Ruth McGuirk of Hingham, MA; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, William E. Leveille, grandson, William R. Leveille; two sisters, Marjorie Carrier; Mildred Foss.
A graveside service will be January 24, 2009 (Saturday) at 11:00 AM at Munyan Cemetery, Munyan Road, Putnam. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of NECT, PO Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260. Smith & Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
