Obituary of Elsa S. Johnson
Elsa S. Johnson 103 of Pilgrim Manor, Cromwell, formerly of Country Road, Woodstock, died Friday. She was born December 21, 1905 in Plainfield, a daughter of the late Alfred and Henny (Strandberg) Johnson.
Elsa had made her home in Woodstock most of her life, the last 20 years, she made her home in Cromwell. She attended Becker Business College, and worked as an office clerk for many years at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. Elsa was the care giver for her father and mother in there late years. She was an active member of the Evangelical Covenant church in Woodstock.
She leaves a brother Axel and his wife Olga Johnson of Pomfret; a sister Anna Johnson of Cromwell, several niece and Nephews. Graveside services will be in the spring in Elmvale cemetery, Woodstock, CT. The Smith & Walker Funeral Home, Putnam in in charge of the arrangements. www.smithandwalkerfh.com
