Obituary of Ryan S. Slagle

Ryan S. Slagle, 43, of Jezierski Lane, Thompson, CT died Wednesday March 11, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family and friends after a long illness. He was born June 6, 1965 in Los Angeles, CA, son of the late Gertrude (Couture) Elkins. Mr. Slagle moved to Massachusetts in 1971, and spent most of his life in Millbury, MA. He was a graduate of Blackstone Valley Technical High School in 1983. He spent many years as a machinist, then moved on to work on X-Ray equipment, then worked for Steris Corporation for 3 years where he serviced and maintained sterile and operating room equipment. He was an avid Patriots fan. He is survived by his two children, his daughter Joselyn Slagle and his son Joshua Slagle, both of Killingly and his cousin Robert Place of Putnam, CT, he was predeceased by his brothers Gerald and Leo Tancrell and a sister, Beverly (Tancrell) Aggen all formerly of California. "For the rest of my life I will find the answers that were always here, I will find the meaning this time, and I will fight the end till the end is here". Calling Hours will be March 21, 2009 Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM.
