Obituary of Irene C. Griggs

Webster-Irene C. Griggs, 70, of Webster formerly of Woodstock, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Webster Manor in Webster, after a long illness. She was born May 1, 1938 in Skowegan, ME, daughter of the late Perley and Iva Greenleaf, Sr. She was the former wife of the late Robert Griggs. She was a stay at home Mom and also helped raise Ricardo Navedo and Riquito Navedo. She worked at Allegro Microtech in Worcester for 23 years. She leaves her children, Stephen Griggs of AZ, Lynda Leighton of NH, Lisa Slagle of CT, Lori Gjika of AZ, Leslie Griggs, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a brother, Perley Greenleaf, Jr. of Skowegan, ME, two sisters, Jeannette Getchell of Dexter, ME, Doris Kimball of Portland, ME. In addition to her husband Robert Griggs, she was predeceased by a sister Barbara Bolduc. Calling hours Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Graveside Service at 1:30 PM in Abington Cemetery, Abington.
