Far too young to pass away. My heartfelt condolences go out to his entire family, especially his three great kids (Anne, Dale & Maria) whom I always considered very close friends of mine while growing up in Danielson.

Memories of Harvey
Some memories make such an impact on a young mind that they remain with you for a lifetime. Here’s mine of Cousin Harvey. It was one of those cold nights in northern Maine – can’t remember the exact date, but I’m sure I was at least 12. My parents and I were food shopping in Caribou, Maine, when Dad noticed a huge navy duffle bag – H. Dubay. Wow! My big cousin was home on leave. I spotted Harvey, so splendid in his uniform. My Dad, Leo, stretched out his arms – big bear hug –a hand shake just didn’t seem right. After a joyful reunion, Mom, Dad, Harvey and I headed home to Connor. I’ll never forget how thrilled I was to be sitting in the back seat with my grown-up cousin, looking so handsome And, of course, I’ll always remember the joy and celebration when we walked into his parents’ house (those were the days before cell phones, etc.). My Aunt Alma and Uncle Levi were such wonderfully warm, kind and gentle people. I loved them. Harvey’s “coming home” is a treasured memory.
A few other memories – Jim and I were guests at Carol and Harvey’s on our way to our first Army/Navy game in 1995 during Jeff’s first year at the Naval Academy. Harvey announced he would be at Jeff’s graduation, and being a man of his word, he and Carol were guests at the 1995 Naval Academy graduation, which was so meaningful to our family. Harvey and Carol also traveled to Pensacola, Florida for Jeff’s wedding in 2000.
Harvey Dubay was a remarkable and extraordinary man. My life is richer for having known him, and I am so grateful that I was his “little cousin”.

Harvey and his family have been very good to us for many years when we needed them the most. We enjoyed good times and bad, but always considered them very close friends.
