Obituary of James L. Kerouack

Brooklyn - James L. Kerouack, 52, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, ended his one-year battle with brain cancer on July 4, 2011. Jim was born on November 20, 1958, son of Lucille Fusco and the late Louis Kerouack. Jim grew up in Northeast CT and graduated from Killingly High School in 1976. After achieving his BA from Fairfield University in 1980, he secured a computer programming position working for Ross Perot at EDS in Dallas, TX. He relocated with EDS to CT in 1985 and continued his Information Services work with CT National Bank/ Fleet/ Shawmut, Cigna, Putnam Investments, Shoplink.com and finally The Hartford. Jim was known for his numerous innovations and information technology both in the bank and insurance industries. Jim is survived by his wife Tina (Puzzo) sons Jesse (fiancé Stephanie) of Hartford, Aaron of Boston, MA; his mother Lucille Fusco; sisters Cheryl (Robert) Alubowicz; Sandra (J. Robert) Truman; Pamela (Mark) Warner; his Jersey in-laws, many nieces and nephews. Jim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed the changing seasons with his crew, The Orangemen, hunting deer on his land in Brooklyn and fishing for bass at his lake home in Maine. Jim was predeceased by his step-father, Anthony Fusco and maternal grandparents, Stanislas and Arsena Gervais. He and his wry sense of humor, unparalleled intelligence and debonair ways will be deeply missed. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, July 9, 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 620 Wauregan Rd, Wauregan. Calling hours will be Friday, July 8, 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson.
