Dear John and Family,
I am sorry to read of Katie's passing. It has been too long since I called or wrote to tell you that I think of "The Savages" every time I head to Maine and pass Eastford. We had some wonderful times at legislative activities and on convention trips. I can still picture the plantation visit and cruise we took in New Orleans one hot August in the 1980s. We walked everywhere and I don't know how she did it with her bad knees. She was alwasy ready for an adventure. I admired her "can-do" spirit in all that she chose to do. If my Otto made it to heaven, I am sure she is checking on him to keep him in line.
