I am very sorry to hear about Lee. He was a great guy and a real pleasure as a coworker and a boss. I remember most the times when we worked for George Meyer in the launch vehicle group and all of us sit in one small room. Lee was the Navy program guy then.
Thinking of Lee brings to mind his tale about being charged by a moose when he was stationed in Alaska. It seems that Lee had an old Nash car and the moose was charging him from the front. As only Lee could tell it, he was driving in reverse down a narrow road as fast as he could go backwards to stay ahead of the moose. He said there probably was not another radiator to fit that car in all of Alaska. He made it and we could visualize the whole thing as he told it.
Bon voyage, Lee LaMarre

To my dear friend, Lee. You were one of the most sincere, honest person I have met in my lifetime. Gosh...the laughs we had while working in the Range Safety organization at Patrick Air Force Base. So enjoyed our "lunch bunch" at the old NCO Club and elsewhere. Occasionally, I still have a liverwurst sandwich with onions and mayonnaise on a nut-tasting "hoagie" that you introduced me to some 25 - 30 years ago.
I so prayed for your recovery, but I guess our dear Lord decided to call you home. May the good Lord hold you in the palm of his hand and bless you. I Miss you, my friend.....I always will.

Enjoyed so much working with you from 1968 when we first welcomed you and your family to Florida and the Naval Ordnance Test Unit. You were a friend who would help anyone at the drop of a hat. Life was not always easy but you dealt with it and were a great success--both with family and work. Doug Sr and I will have an extra cup of coffee for you Monday morning. I miss you my friend.

We will sure miss Lee. Both of us are sorry for your loss. I will never forget the days we parked the cars at the church on Labor Day week-end, he was such a joy to work with. Working together building a wall for vbs. getting him his hazelnut coffee and his lemon filled donuts. Lee I will never forget you and the lord has a good man by his side. Bob Righenzi
